Made with PLA, and 100% biodegradable under industrial composting conditions, this fabric is a good moisture conductant, with 70% less CO2 emissions than polyester manufacturing.

PLA is a biopolymer made from different post-industrial biological waste, mainly corn, but other types of grains as well. It is 100% biodegradable under industrial composting conditions, meaning it does not degrade by itself and the durability of the fabric remains uncompromised.

It is produced in the lyocell production process, made from pulp containing recycled cotton scraps left over from cutting operations and wood.
 

Refibra is made based on EU award-winning tencel® technology, the most eco-friendly production thanks to its closed loop production of 99.7%, and its use of bioenergy. It combines wood as a renewable raw material from sustainable forest plantations, as well as recycled cotton scraps.

Hemp is amongst the most versatile natural fibers. It is a fast-growing plant requiring very little water and no herbicides, pesticides, synthetic fertilizers or GMO seeds. In comparison, cotton is more water-intensive and takes longer to reach harvest age, as well as producing less fibres per acre.

It is a naturally antibacterial fiber with a great heat conduction properties compared to other fibers: it keeps the wearer cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
